The monkey's paw cursed object grants wishes but every wish has a negative effect as well.

Wish | Effects |

Forces a ghost event in front of the player. The ghost will appear and remain in place for 5 seconds. As soon as the event ends the ghost will initiate a cursed hunt from the location the of the event. |

Doubles all ghost activity for 2 minutes. The fuse box will be permanently broken and all exit doors will be locked for the full 2 minutes. |

Teleports the ghost to its favorite room and locks all doors to that room and the player's current room for 1 minute. During this time the ghost cannot hunt, roam, or use abilities. After 1 minute the ghost will initiate a cursed hunt. All of the doors the wish locked will unlock but there is a 25% chance the doors will unlock after the hunt grace period instead of at the start. |

Sets every player to 50% sanity. This means it can both add and subtract sanity to reach 50%. Passive sanity drain will increase by 50%. |

To activate, left-click while not holding the board or right-click while holding. A planchette will drop onto the board.
To deactivate, say "Good-bye" and the planchette will fly up and disappear. Do not walk away from the board if the planchette is still on it. This can cause a hunt.

The spirit box is an evidence gathering item. It should ideally be used early in the investigation as it requires remaining in the ghost room, alone, with the lights off for several seconds which can quickly drain sanity.
